Basic Step 1 noun

NOUN:

Noun (kata benda) merupakan jenis kata yang frekuensi pemakaiannya sangat tinggi. Setiap kalimat pasti memiliki satu atau lebih Noun, bisa dalam Subject, Object, setelah preposisi (object of preposition), dan appositives. NOUN dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi:

Countable Nouns

Countable Nouns adalah kata benda yang bisa dihitung, sehingga bisa dibedakan menjadi:

1)	Singular Noun	a table, a bag, a book, a city, a student, an umbrella, an ox, a tooth, a woman, etc.
2)	Plural Noun	tables, bags, books, cities, students, umbrellas, oxen, teeth, women.

Singular Noun: adalah kata benda tunggal (satu). Singular Noun didahului dengan penanda tunggal seperti a, an, another, each, every.

Plural Noun: adalah kata benda jamak (lebih dari satu). Daftar kata berikut bisa memberitahukan apakah kata benda yang mengikuti singular atau plural.

Uncountable Nouns

Uncountable Nouns adalah jenis kata benda yang tidak dapat dihitung. Sehingga jenis kata benda ini tidak bisa dalam bentuk plural, walaupun bermakna banyak. seperti: water, coffee, salt. Daftar kata berikut bisa menunjukkan apakah Noun yang mengikuti Countable Noun atau Uncountable Noun.

Ciri-Ciri Kata Benda

Kata benda turunan (yg berasal dari kata lain) biasanya berakhiran -ion, -ity, -ment, etc. Lihat tabel berikut:
